Role Description This full-time remote Entry-Level Software Engineer role at Promolex involves designing, developing, and testing software features under the guidance of senior engineers. The engineer will write clean, maintainable code, assist in building and maintaining back-end web services, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to team standards. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting and fixing bugs, collaborating with cross-functional teams on requirements and technical specifications, and contributing to documentation for code, APIs, and processes. The role also includes learning and applying best practices in software engineering, participating in agile ceremonies, and continuously improving technical skills through feedback and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
• Experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
• Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts such as APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in designing and implementing solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Interest in learning new technologies, receiving constructive feedback, and contributing to a inclusive, team-oriented culture.
